Founded more than one hundred years ago, the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce remains one of the most influential forces in local government and regional economic development. The mission of the Chamber is to secure the economic future of our community, and to enhance the quality of life in the city of Oakland.

With some 1,000 members, the Chamber is actively involved in public policy and provides valuable resources to members.

The Chamber’s 2022 Annual Meeting will be an outdoor celebratory event at Children’s Fairyland where, together with Oakland businesses, elected leaders and community members, the Oakland Chamber invites you to spend an evening with the simple goal of reconnecting and enjoying your peers. A Progressive Tax Measure for Oakland

On Thursday May 26, 2022, the Oakland City Council voted to place a measure for voter consideration on the November 2022 ballot that would both modify the structure as well as increase tax rates for Oakland businesses in selected industry categories and gross receipt revenues.
